No gaurdrails just sheer drop off the edge.1 section of concrete steps is supported by timber, just.But if your careful you make to the bottom in 1 piece & stroll along a Stunning beach with great waves. If your prudish don't come here as there are nudist on the beach. Well worth hunting out this beach before the steps collapse.

Der Strand Playa de la Escalera, auch Playa del Aguila oder Playa de las Escaleras genannt, ist ein circa 600 m langer Sandstrand auf Fuerteventura. Diese spektakuläre Bucht liegt an der Nordwestküste der Kanareninsel, etwa 5 km südlich des Fischerdorfes El Cotillo. Der Strand ist nur über eine Schotterpiste entlang der Küste zu erreichen.

Para llegar a la playa del Águila, tenemos que seguir la pista de tierra, que bordea la costa y que sale desde La Torre del Tostón hacia el sur. A algo más de 3,5 kilómetros del Cotillo, llegamos al borde del acantilado donde se encuentra la escalera de acceso a la playa. La playa de las Escaleritas no cuenta ningún tipo de servicio.

The beach Playa de la Escalera, also called Playa del Aguila or Playa de las Escaleras, is an approximately 600 m long sandy beach on Fuerteventura. This spectacular bay is located on the northwest coast of the Canary Island, about 5 km south of the fishing village El Cotillo. The beach can only be reached via a gravel road along the coast.
