The Bianchi Infinito CV Disc is a well-constructed endurance road bike. The bike utilizes Countervail Technology, a carbon fork, 28mm Vittoria Rubino tires and a Fizik saddle to reduce vibration from the road and increase rider comfort. It is aerodynamic with a sleek fork and tapered steerer. The bike is a little heavier than other road bikes.

Bianchi increased the price of the Infinito CV Disc in this build from £4,300 to £4,475 back in January. You can of course get much cheaper disc brake endurance bikes that combine carbon framesets with Shimano Ultegra groupsets. The BMC Roadmachine 02 Two that David Arthur reviewed recently, for example, is £3,300.

The Bianchi Infinito CV Disc has been designed with longer tours in mind where comfort has to play a more significant role. Like other Bianchi models, for example the Oltre XR4 Disc (click for review), the company's Countervail technology comes to play here too.This is an intrinsic part of the frame, with a visco-elastic resin used in the carbon layup that absorbs high-frequency vibrations.

Bianchi is offering the Infinito CV in seven builds in the UK, starting at £3,500 for a Campagnolo Athena build riding to £5,300 for Dura-Ace and £5,600 for Super Record. The bike we have in here is a Campagnolo Chorus 11-speed mechanical build that, with the optional Racing Speed XLR carbon fibre tubular wheels, costs £7,100.
